Priorities

My campaign is grounded in three core pillars that reflect both the responsibility of the Sheriff’s Office and the people it serves: Leadership, Deputy Support, and Community.

This campaign is grounded in strong, transparent leadership that treats the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office as a public trust, and delivers an agency that is accountable, results-driven, and honest about its performance. It is equally rooted in a deep commitment to Deputy Support, and investing in their training, morale, and development is essential to safer and stronger communities. Ultimately, everything comes back to Community — ensuring the Sheriff’s Office is an active, trusted partner that builds trust through consistent service, meaningful relationships, and long-term commitment.

Together, these three priorities form a simple but enduring framework: strong leadership, supported deputies, and a connected community.

Strong Leadership

The people of Chelan County are the stakeholders of their Chelan County Sheriff’s Office. They deserve an organization that is well-run, results-driven, and honest about its performance. Trust is built through integrity in every action, strengthened by clear and honest communication, and maintained through consistent follow-through. Accountability begins with leadership ownership, where success is shared and shortcomings are owned, guided by clear goals and measurable outcomes. Transparency means communicating openly about performance, operating in the open rather than only in crisis, and earning trust through consistent openness.

supported
deputies

Deputies and non-commissioned staff are the heartbeat of the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office. The quality of service the community receives is directly tied to how well they are supported, trained, and valued. This starts with ownership — recognizing that deputies bring frontline insight that should help shape agency culture, creating real pathways for input, and leading through collaboration rather than command alone. Just as important is investing in training, building confidence and competence, going beyond minimum requirements, and developing safer, more effective, and more committed deputies. Equally vital are our non-commissioned staff — the dedicated professionals working behind the scenes every day. While they may not be interacting with the public on a daily basis, their contributions are woven into every call answered, and every case closed.

connected
community

Chelan County is built on community. Strong relationships, shared values, and mutual respect form the foundation of a thriving region. The Sheriff’s Office must remain deeply connected to that community — present, engaged, and accountable to the people it serves. Safety means consistent protection for residents, workers, and visitors alike, delivered through proactive, visible service across the entire county while holding the agency accountable to community expectations. Relationships are equally essential, built through consistent engagement, strong partnerships with local agencies, and the understanding that trust grows when the Sheriff’s Office is seen as a partner rather than only an authority. At its core, this work is guided by a commitment to serve all communities with equal respect, honor diverse beliefs and backgrounds, and always see the person behind every call for service.
